WHAT IS NFC?
Near Field Communication (NFC) is a wireless communication technology widely used in contactless payment, ticketing, access control and data sharing. One of the main differences between NTAG213 and NTAG215 is their memory capacity. NTAG213 has a memory capacity of 180 bytes, while NTAG215 has a memory capacity of 540 bytes. This means that the NTAG215 can store more data than the NTAG213. The extra memory capacity of the NTAG215 can be useful for applications that require more data storage, such as product verification and marketing campaigns.
Another difference between NTAG213 and NTAG215 is the reading distance. The NTAG213 has a reading distance of up to 5 centimetres, while the NTAG215 has a reading distance of up to 10 centimetres. This means that NTAG215 can be read from a slightly greater distance than NTAG213. The longer read distance of the NTAG215 can be useful for applications that require more flexibility in read distances, such as access control or inventory management.
Data Transfer Rate
These two chips also differ from each other in data transfer rates. The NTAG213 has a data transfer rate of 106 kbps, while the NTAG215 has a data transfer rate of 424 kbps. This means that NTAG215 can transfer data faster than NTAG213. The higher data transfer rate of the NTAG215 is useful for applications that require frequent data updates, such as event ticketing or transport.
These chips differ in price. NTAG215 usually costs more than NTAG213. This is because NTAG215 has more memory capacity and higher data transfer rate than NTAG213.
