This system, known as HGS in highways, has entered our lives thanks to RFID car parking systems. Basically; It consists of 3 basic equipment: reader, label and antenna. It consists of transferring the information of the vehicle and driver information thanks to the UHF RFID Tags placed on the vehicle windows or number plates.
Thanks to this system, a fast transition is provided without pausing to pay at the toll booths.
There are two different variations of the cards used in the HGS system: label type and card type. The technology used in HGS is passive RFID technology. It is a battery-free, chip and thin label, which is glued to the glass of the vehicle. Thanks to the protection technology applied on the label, it becomes unusable when it is removed from the vehicle to which it is affixed.
